As one of the largest ski areas in Austria, the so-called "Home of Lässig" offers numerous snow parks, floodlit slopes and toboggan runs. The entrance (ski-in) is only 400 m away at the Schönleiten valley station. In summer, on the other hand, the holiday region is known as the Bike Circus and impresses with 400 km of mountain bike paths and 80 km of mountain bike trails. But hikers also get their money's worth and can explore the Glemmtal and the surrounding region on over 400 km of hiking trails.

With 270 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes, 70 modern cable cars and 60 cosy huts, it is one of the largest ski areas in Austria. For ski tourers and freeriders, the freeride mecca of Fieberbrunn is a paradise and has long since ceased to be an insider tip.

Ski areas Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe can be reached from your holiday suite by free ski bus or by car. Passionate cyclists can take on a special challenge: "THE CHALLENGE - Bike your limit" calls on you to cycle the entire area around Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn in just one day. All those who succeed secure a place in the Hall of Fame and can win attractive prizes.

Swimming pools and lakes in Pinzgau

Only 4 km from your holiday suite in Saalbach Hinterglemm, the outdoor swimming pool Käpt'n Hook with 1,000 m2 of water surface as well as slides, gargoyles & Co. provides a pleasant cool down. Also worth a visit is the Zeller lake, one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Austrian Alps. In summer, it reaches pleasant water temperatures of around 23 °C and offers numerous water sports activities such as stand-up paddling, pedal boating or surfing. In the Tauern Spa Zell am See-Kaprun, 30 minutes away, you can completely unwind in the 20,000 m² wellness area.

 Kitzlochklamm Taxenbach 

In the summer months, comfortable places in the shade are in high demand. Which makes the Kitzlochklamm in Taxenbach a particularly popular destination from May to October. This unique natural wonder between water and steep rockfaces is exceptionally impressive and an ideal excursion destination for the whole family. Experienced mountaineers will likewise find what they are looking for, including three different fixed-cable climbs where they can put their skills to the test.

An outing to this gorge is also perfect for a relaxed hike. Walk along the banks of the Rauriser Ache to the Pilgrimage Church of Maria Elend in Embach, or perhaps take part in a guided hike by torchlight.

Sommerrodelbahn Saalfelden

On the Biberg in Saalfelden, you can look forward to a steep downhill ride dropping a grand total of 345 vertical meters. The speed itself, along with 3 jumps and over 60 bends, guarantee a true adrenaline rush for everyone, big and small. But not to worry. You can regulate the speed yourself using the lever on your sled, making everything possible, ultra-mellow rides or action-packed excitement.

That said, whether you give it all you’ve got or have your brake pulled tight – the views during your ride are certain to be an absolute highlight as well. Some see for yourself!

Summer toboggan run on Biberg Saalbach Hinterglemm

Berg Kodok

Have you heard of Kodok, this region’s goblin mascot? Along the adventure path, he will take you with him on a journey into a magical world of the imagination. The goal is Berg Kodok, where 10 tricky puzzles have to be solved. On the 3 km path leading there, you will encounter numerous play stations.

That said, this path promotes both the motor and cognitive skills of your child. The adventure begins at the top station of the Reiterkogelbahn in Hinterglemm. From May to October, your kids are certain to have the time of their lives here as they give free rein to their imagination.

Bike Circus Saalbach Hinterglemm

As the largest bike region in Austria, cycling enthusiasts get their money's worth in Saalbach Hinterglemm! Look forward to 80 km of mountainbike trails in all degrees of difficulty and 9 top modern mountain railways to take you high up.

In addition to mountain biking, Saalbach Hinterglemm is also ideal for extensive gravel tours. Whether a leisurely day at the Learn to Ride Park for beginners or a challenging detour on the pumptracks - here you can really let off steam and perfect your cornering skills. For leisurely bikers, there is of course also a suitable offer, such as a tour through the forest.

We had a great skiing holiday here! The rooms are upscale and modernly furnished. The location is great, you can get to the hotel from piste 2a and the Schönleitenbahn is just a short walk away. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the staff; you immediately feel at home and on holiday. Wolfgang is a great host! The breakfast is sufficient but we would have liked a little more variety, some cream cheese and sausages with the egg would have been great. The Mangia restaurant offers delicious homemade Italian food. If you allow some time, you can eat very well and cheaply here. The wellness area is nicely furnished and offers everything you need after a strenuous day of skiing, only the relaxation room was a little too warm for us. Definitely a clear recommendation!

Great breakfast buffet! In the evening you can eat delicious homemade Italian dishes in the restaurant or in the apartment. Very warm welcome at reception. The wellness area was the highlight after a long day of skiing! We'll definitely come back.

We were very satisfied - the contact with Johanna from reception in advance and during was perfect. She was very helpful, always in a good mood and very warm. Thanks for that! The rooms were as described and the breakfast was delicious. We were there during the ski season - the lift is not far away and you can ski down from the slopes right next to the hotel. We would come again. For apres ski you have to go a village further and it's best after New Year's Eve and not the week before.
